Hi! I'm Virginie
I grew up in the south of France. I have come to realize that the French are obsessed with beauty, so I think that my obsession with creating beautiful spaces is perhaps genetic :)
I'm an Art History major from McGill and Columbia Universities, but also have an Interior Design degree from the Intentional Academy of Art and Design.
I have been involved in everything design for close to 30 years now (I shouldn't tell, makes me feel old!)
I've been an editor at Canadian House and Home and Chatelaine magazines.
I've been a designer on HGTV shows.
I've spoken at home and design shows across the country.
I've been a guest expert on CityLine and Canada AM.
And during all this time, I've maintained my how roster of design clients in the Carribbean, the US and Canada.
I'm a compulsive renovator married to a realtor who is also a compulsive renovator. My kids have moved a lot!
I think a beautiful space can bring calm and harmony to your life and everyone should have that. It's the French in me. But don't worry, I'm here to help you live the French way!
My Approach
I want you to be successful at decorating your house. Think of me as your design-savvy buddy.
I know all the tricks, I'm a fast problem solver, and I see potential everywhere!
I'm good at understanding people, what they need, and what they don't know they need.
I have a new approach to interior design, and here it is:
Instead of billing you hours to run errands, sit in traffic, go to showrooms and wait for contractors on site, I'm giving you the design and letting you do the legwork. You'll have a roadmap to proceed, with plans, inspiration, ideas, furniture suggestions and drawings. It's cheaper for you and it's more fun for me. My process is straightforward, predictable and you'll know exactly what the design fee is.
What I love about design, is the design, so this lets me do what I'm best at.
I want you to have the solutions so you can get them done cheaper.
